Winter news!

It has been a very busy few months here at Ampersand. Fabulous new clients have joined, including Ali Harper and Rachel Lynch, and numerous deals have been done on behalf of existing, and equally fabulous, authors. These include two series which have been acquired by Endeavour Press, written by Jay Forman and Paddy Cinnamond respectively. News of some other very significant deals will follow early in the new year, as and when trade announcements are made.

We are also thrilled that Cao Wenxuan’s wonderful Bronze and Sunflower, translated by Helen Wang, has been shortlisted for this year’s Marsh Award for children’s literature in translation. Fingers are firmly crossed for a win!

Last, but certainly not least, there has been significant press coverage for the new edition of Georgette Heyer’s short stories, Snowdrift, which includes three not seen since the 1940s. The Times carried a long appreciation of Heyer’s work and the reasons why she continues to sell in hundreds of thousands all over the world.

A very happy Christmas to you all from us.
