Summer news - Joel Bird, Druin Burch, Richard Smyth and James Ross

Sat, July 15, 2017

Plenty of exciting news for the summer season from Ampersand Towers: Joel Bird's terrific non-fiction debut The Book of Shed has been acquired by Bonnier's new 535 imprint, and will be published as a launch title in September 2017; Druin Burch's thought-provoking The Shape of Things to Come has been snapped up by those lovely people at Head of Zeus, and Richard Smyth has won a Northern Writers Award for his work in progress.

Elsewhere, Jamie Cowen has taken on James Ross for his YA debut Dealer No. 1 - a gripping story concerning Mickey, a teenager from a deprived home in Sunderland, his rise to becoming his city's primary drug dealer, and subsequent fall from grace. It's Breaking Bad for teens, and will be ready for submission in Autumn 2017.

Enjoy the sunshine!
